Employee Stories

Benjamin's Story

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) has been a blessing for our family. We’ve been able to utilize the financial counseling to help us build a financial plan to save for our kids’ activities, futures and more.

The emotional support was also a comforting resource for me, while juggling the stresses of work, family, church, community service and daily life.

Lauren's Story

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) helped my family overcome many difficult challenges, especially through the social and emotional side effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s been stressful for many people, so it’s more important than ever to practice self-care.

As a chaplain, it’s an honor to pay it forward by ministering to frontline staff and colleagues during this time.

Luis's Story

I am thankful for tuition reimbursement and comprehensive dental insurance.

Baylor Scott & White helped me with a World Health Organization (WHO) internship in the Philippines to complete my master’s degree.

In addition to the tuition reimbursement benefit, the dental benefit was a huge blessing. The orthodontic coverage made braces more affordable. And I can proudly say that while smiling.

Maria's Story

Our lives were thoroughly disrupted after receiving the challenging news of being COVID-19 positive.

My family and I were so blessed to lean on Baylor Scott & White in our time of need. We benefited from Bright Horizons’ childcare resources, our own comprehensive benefits program and the Employees 1st Emergency Assistance Fund.

Most of all, I was so grateful for the support and encouragement from my colleagues while managing our circumstances.

Trang's Story

Three months after I started my role as CNO of BSW - McKinney, COVID-19 hit, so life has been extremely busy!

I can’t say enough about the on-the-go benefits of the MyBSWHealth app, especially for helping us manage our two active kids’ sports-related injuries.

Also, the flexible spending account is a convenient way to pay for health expenses. If there is a year with fewer sports injuries, I can use the remainder to purchase qualifying items from the online store, such as KT Tape or other supplies, shipped directly to our home—saving time and money.
