Compare Dental Plans

We offer two dental plans through MetLife: the PPO and the PPO Plus.

Both plans cover 100% of your preventive care costs, such as cleanings and X-rays. They also have the same low deductible of $50 for you or $150 for you and your family. The difference between these plans is the amount you pay for covered services after your deductible is met each year, as well as orthodontia coverage.

Costs and Tax-Free Savings

The plan pays 50% of the cost of basic and major care after you meet the deductible, up to $1,250 a year.
There is no coverage for orthodontia or dental implants.
The PPO plan pairs with any healthcare FSA or HSA for out-of-pocket expenses.
Visit a dentist of your choosing but pay less when you see a dentist in the Preferred Dental Program.

Costs and Tax-Free Savings

The plan pays 80% of the cost of basic care and 50% of the cost of major care after you meet the deductible, up to $2,500 a year.
Dental implants are covered at 50% within this annual maximum.
Orthodontia is covered at 50% with a separate lifetime maximum of $2,000, and is available for children and adults.
The PPO Plus plan pairs with any healthcare FSA or HSA for out-of-pocket expenses.
Visit a dentist of your choosing but pay less when you see a dentist in the Preferred Dental Program.

The amount you pay for your dental plan per pay period depends on the plan you choose and the number of dependents you cover. Premiums are deducted from your paycheck before taxes, so you are not taxed on them.

What You Pay for Care
