Enhanced visitor precautions

To protect the safety of our patients and staff, and in accordance with local regulations surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, Baylor Scott & White Health has a no visitor policy for our hospitals. We will be offering limited exceptions as follows.

For patients confirmed with or suspected of having COVID-19, approved visitor exceptions include one parent, spouse or caretaker over the age of 16 for:

Patients receiving end-of-life care
As otherwise determined by local hospital leadership

For all other patients, approved visitor exceptions include one parent, spouse or caretaker over the age of 16 for:

Complimentary Valet Parking

We encourage you to use our complimentary valet parking, which is available from 5:00 AM–7:00 PM, Monday – Friday. The valet is located at the main entrance of Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital – McKinney, off of University Drive/US Highway 380.

Text-Ahead Valet Service

Using your cell phone, send a text to 972.464.2483 to alert our valet service when you want to retrieve your vehicle.

For example, “Ticket number 12345, I’ll be downstairs in 15 minutes.” A confirmation text will be sent to you via the phone of your request. The service is free of charge and is offered for your convenience.

Please be sure to have your valet ticket ready to expedite the vehicle retrieval process

In addition to complimentary valet parking, you may also self-park in the designated guest parking lots.

The hospital’s concierge staff is ready to assist you with directions and answer questions about the hospital. They are also prepared to offer suggestions on dining and hotel accommodations in McKinney and surrounding areas, and they can even provide maps to help you find your destination.

Concierge services are offered in the main lobby. The hours of operation are: 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Guest Accommodations

Our spacious guest suites are private sanctuaries with the kind of comforts seen in luxury hotels.

All suites have floor-to-ceiling windows that provide ample natural light and pleasant views, as well as hardwood-style floors. Wall-mounted, flat screen TVs entertain and can be used to review medical images once your procedure is finished. We also provide complimentary wireless internet access.

Spiritual Care

We believe total guest care includes attending to one’s spiritual needs. Chaplain services can be made available 24/7 to assist you upon request. To request a chaplain, contact your nurse.

If you need clergy from your faith tradition, chaplains will assist you. Chaplains can also provide you with information about creating a living will and medical power of attorney as well as assist you with these documents.

Visitor Lounge

There is a designated lounge for visitors. If you are in a large group, we ask for your consideration of other patients’ families when seating is limited. Wireless laptops can be used in most areas by connecting to our visitor wireless network. A special charging station is available for guest use.

The use of wireless communication devices, such as cell phones, notebooks and laptops, can interfere with medical equipment and is restricted in all patient care areas. Please restrict your use of these devices to the visitor lounge and non-patient care areas.

MyBSWHealth

MyBSWHealth is a online tool where you can communicate with your providers, schedule an appointment, and access and manage your family’s health.

Vending Machines

We offer a selection of snack items and beverages in vending machines conveniently located in the visitor's lounge.

Clinical Trials

The Baylor Scott & White Research Institute (BSWRI) has a dynamic research program. Since 2008, nearly 3,000 patients have participated in clinical trials conducted through Baylor Scott & White Heart – Plano. In that time, we have completed more than 50 trials and have 100 active clinical trials. Several interventional cardiologists on Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital – Plano medical staff are involved in research and the development of new technologies and techniques to expand and improve cardiac catheterization treatment.
