Biography


I am passionate about helping to guide you through life's challenges, no matter what they may be. I take a semi-structured, collaborative approach to our sessions and believe in tailoring ... each session to the individual. I primarily use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy but like to draw from other techniques as well. I am committed to providing compassionate care to help you achieve your goals and live a meaningful, fulfilling life.


What can clients expect in their first interaction with me?

We will talk about your reasons for seeking therapy and your goals for therapy. I will gather background information and ask about past treatments and their effectiveness. I will take things at your pace, answering your questions, and set the tone for our future sessions.

What’s my role in our work together?

My role is to support you in your therapy journey, helping you identify your goals and providing support along the way to help you reach those goals. That support can include processing information through talk therapy, providing different perspectives, and providing coping skills and other strategies that may be helpful.

What do I want clients to take away from working with me?

I want clients to feel like they have been seen and understood by me. I want clients to understand the mental health concepts that apply to them so that they can understand how to manage it better. I want them to have more confidence in their abilities to create the lives that they want.

What’s something I wish more people knew about therapy?

I wish that people knew that therapy is for everybody and that everyone can benefit from it. I also wish that people knew that there are lots of different kinds of therapy and even therapists, so if you don’t like it at first, you can find a different type or a different provider.
