Matthew Paul, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon and board-certified sports medicine specialist who sees patients in Frisco. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of shoulder and knee injuries, ... including ACL tears, meniscus injuries, rotator cuff tears, shoulder impingement, shoulder instability, biceps tendonitis and complex ligament injuries. His expertise includes arthroscopic shoulder surgery, arthroscopic knee surgery, ACL reconstruction, meniscus repair, rotator cuff repair and sports medicine care for athletes and active individuals of all ages. Dr. Paul is dedicated to helping patients relieve pain, restore function and return to the activities they enjoy. He utilizes advanced surgical and non-surgical treatment options tailored to each patient's goals, with a focus on evidence-based care and optimal outcomes. His fellowship training in sports medicine provides specialized expertise in the management of complex shoulder and knee conditions, from acute sports injuries to chronic orthopedic problems. A Texas native, Dr. Paul graduated with honors from Texas A&M University before earning his medical degree from McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center and advanced fellowship training in sports medicine at the Lake Tahoe Orthopaedic Institute.
