Helping children and their families be as successful as possible at school, at home and in the community.

Child development is the physical, emotional and intellectual progress your child makes as he or she grows. If your child has chronic behavioral problems, trouble learning or developmental delays, he or she may be referred to a child development specialist for some extra help.

Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s child development specialists provide a comprehensive, individualized medical and developmental assessment of children with behavioral and learning differences. We provide counseling for parents and families to help them access appropriate therapies and services within the Baylor Scott & White Health system, the community and the school.

Child development specialists at Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s offer treatment and skill development for a wide range of learning and behavioral disorders. They often work in tandem with psychologists, psychiatrists, educators, speech therapists and occupational therapists.
