Pediatric Audiology

Baylor Scott & White McLane Children's

Comprehensive care for your child's hearing and balance needs

Pediatric-trained caregivers in audiology help young patients regain hearing and balance, including children with profound deafness diagnosed at birth or due to trauma or disease. The inner ear is responsible for hearing and balance, and ear care is part of a surgical specialty called otolaryngology, or ear, nose, and throat (ENT).

At Baylor Scott & White McLane Children's audiologists work in collaboration with ENT specialists and perform follow-up diagnostic testing on babies who fail the newborn hearing screening. Audiologists also fit hearing aids for children of all ages.
