TeenSafe

Baylor Scott & White McLane Children's

Injury prevention program created to educate and empower teens

Each year, more than 6,000 teenagers die in automobile crashes related to cell phone use, texting, speeding, improper seatbelt use and alcohol/drug use.

TeenSafe is an injury prevention program aimed at promoting education, responsibility and empowerment concerning traffic safety for preteens, teens, parents, schools and communities in Central Texas. The program sponsored by Hillcrest Regional Trauma Center in cooperation with the Texas Department of Transportation.

We are locally supported and grant funded, so our services are limited to the following counties in Central Texas: Bell, Bosque, Burnet, Comanche, Coryell, Ellis, Erath, Falls, Freestone, Hamilton, Hill, Johnson, Lampasas, Leon, Limestone, McLennan, Milam, Mills, Navarro, Robertson, Somervell and Williamson.
