About Us

Baylor Scott & White HealthTexas Provider Network

HealthTexas Provider Network (HTPN) is a multi-specialty medical group with more than 1,300 providers, practicing in more than 360 care-sites in the North Texas area.

In affiliation with Baylor Scott & White Health, HTPN has experienced remarkable success in developing and implementing effective quality improvement initiatives that have improved the patient experience and thrust us into the realm of a high-performing medical group.

A "high-performing medical group" as defined by the American Medical Group Association (AMGA) is a provider entity that demonstrates:

  • Efficient provision of services
  • Organized system of care
  • Quality measurement and improvement activities
  • Care coordination
  • Use of information technology and evidence-based medicine
  • Compensation practices that promote value-based care based on patient satisfaction and quality metrics
  • Accountability

Through multiple transformation activities, HealthTexas has made significant progress toward staying abreast of the ever-changing healthcare industry and its future of increasing transparency, changing care models and shifting reimbursement.

HealthTexas obtained NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home recognition for 87 (and still growing) primary care facilities. HTPN implemented an EHR system throughout the network and enhanced the clinical data warehouse to improve physician reporting and develop patient portal functionality. In addition, HealthTexas continues to participate in various CMS initiatives and population health management through current and future PCMH contracts.
